Lindsey is a Stinker!

She is 22 months old . . .going on 5. Ever since we got home from Washington, she thinks she is big and doesn't need to take naps. Curtis put her down for a nap and about 5 minutes later she came walking down the stairs with a barbie in her hand, ready to play. It is quite funny to watch her climb out (I am going to try to get video of it).

The older girls were doing the dishes the other day and left their step stool in front of the sink. I walk in and find Lindsey standing on the stool peeling an orange. She climbed up and grabbed the orange off the tray I have (you can see it in the background). I don't know how she reached it, but what a stinker! A cute one, I might add.

Quick trip to Washington

My sweet grandma passed away on Monday, November 15. She was 92 years old. It prompted a quick trip up to Washington for the funeral. We decided that since we were driving all that way we would stay for Thanksgiving (and since our friends bailed on us after only a year of planning, but its ok :) Love you Emily!) It turned out to be quite a fun trip. My brothers and sister enjoyed hanging out with their nieces. My sister, I'm sure, got tired of hours of putting makeup on the girlies.

It even happened to snow a couple of inches while we were there. It was so pretty. Curtis loved it too because he got to drive in the snow. There was one night he was at my brothers house and I didn't know if he'd make it home because the roads were bad. Fun times!

We found a small little hill and the girls went sledding for the first time. Kate and Lindsey didn't like it at all - as you can tell from the picture of Lindsey

Chris and Lindsey

We spent Thanksgiving with my dad. While we were there, we managed to have a second to pick out and cut down our Christmas tree. Yes, we hauled it 800 miles back home. I could hear Curtis grumbling under his breath the whole time - driving to get the tree and on the way home. So far, the tree is still alive. Yay!

Curtis was so happy to lay down and cut the tree in a big mud puddle . . .

. . .the girls especially enjoyed putting snow balls on dad while he was working hard to cut the tree down.

Unexpected Guest

At the beginning of November, my brother Chris called and said he was FINALLY coming to pick up his quad. The girls wouldn't leave him alone the whole time. Kate's not in the picture because she was being shy. For some reason. We had a great time with him. He and Curtis rode the quads up in the mountains. They came home completely muddy and freezing. Curtis enjoyed some riding. He doesn't get to do that very often.

Sassy Kate

Kate was ticked that we were putting her to bed. She said to dad "I don't want anybody to look at me because I'm busy." Curtis said "I'm sorry you're busy." She said "Busy means don't talk to me. And when you wake up, I'll still be busy."

November . . . Already??

Oh my goodness! I can't believe it's already November. Where have I been? Oh yeah, I know . . . Soccer! Both Natalie and Haley are playing soccer this year. Practice everyday except Friday and two games on Saturday. Super crazy schedule.

Natalie loves playing this year. She is coming out of her shell a little and going after the ball instead of running right next to the person. (No it's not a skirt she's wearing. The shorts are humongous on everyone)

This is Haley's first season of soccer. She is one of the best players on the team. She always plays defender. If she doesn't, all her other teammates let the ball go past them. She has improved so much since the beginning of the season.

Curtis took the youth to Utah to go to General Conference.
We decided one late afternoon to get some pumpkins. No we can't go to the local grocery store to get them. I mean real pumpkins, the kind you pick off the vines. We haven't gone for two years or so. I had to go this year. Here are a few shots

Lindsey didn't like the dirt and mud so she stayed in the wagon the whole time.

Our Summer Vacation

Wow! There are lots of pictures. We went on our vacation up to Seattle. Me and the girls were gone for two weeks. Curtis joined us a couple days before my brother's wedding. We missed him so much. And I'm told that he missed us A LOT. There were a couple times when I wasn't sure if he'd survive. It was hard for me to survive also. So there are tons of pictures and for some reason they loaded in reverse than what really happened. (I am weird like that, all my pictures have to be in the order they happened. It drive me crazy when they are not.)

All my siblings. My brother on the left was the one that got married. I'm the oldest and the shortest. Its not fair. (I was in 3" heels and everyone was still taller than me.)

Haley jumped off the tall post off the dock at my moms house. She was such a fish. Always asking if we can go swimming
Sunset from the deck at my moms house.
My niece, Payton, was in a pageant and we went to see her. We were so proud of her. She looked beautiful.
I couldn't resist this picture. I told everyone to say "cheese". Look at Lindsey's face. There are a couple more pictures like that. She is hysterical
We went to the zoo and everyone loved to ride on the motorized scooter. They got to take turns driving it.

My aunt and uncle are rebuilding a Mustang. Natalie, Haley and Kate got to go for a ride in it. Lucky ducks!
Haley's first (and last) ride on a Harley. I am so jealous. I've never been on one before.

My dad had a huge pool at his house. The kids were always outside playing in it.
Kate's poolAfter a long day of swimming, she's tuckered out. She loved snuggling with Grandma
Payton gave each of the girls one of her pageant dresses. They love trying them on and playing in them.
